I believe that the responsibility of a successful golf instructor is to help the student derive greater enjoyment in the game of golf. Every player is certainly unique. Everyone has different ability levels, different goals and aspirations, different strengths and weaknesses, fears, inhibitions, and reasons for even playing the game. It is imperative for the instructor first to listen and ascertain the desires of the student. The true expertise of the instructor lies in determining the course of action that will address issues important to the student in an understandable and technically sound manner. With increased knowledge and confidence, every golfer can have more fun playing the game of golf!
